What Can I Expect

These professional training facilities at Burgess Hill and Crawley are just a quick hop from London's Gatwick airport. They are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, responding to the needs of fleet operators and pilots with fully UK CAA certified, Level D, full-motion Airbus and Boeing sims.

It's a real privilege that we can offer two-hour experiences in either the 737 or the A320 simulator. Both have full motion capabilities - and they are usually reserved for professional flight training only.

As you'll see on arrival, it's a proper set up with classrooms, briefing rooms, crew restrooms and maintenance engineers on hand around the clock. Flight simulator training is their expertise and business.

We have to say, just making your way over to the simulators is pretty exciting. Climb the steps and walk the bridge into the spaceship-like module, retract the bridge and activate those hydraulic legs. You are now 20ft above the ground in a multi-million pound simulator, ready to experience a simulated flight take off that'll feel incredibly real.

The movement, combined with all the flight deck idiosyncrasies and noises, make these experiences the most realistic you will ever come across.

You've got time to fly a complete sector in real time, or you can concentrate on one particular element such as landings. You can also adjust all the variables such as weather, time of day, functionality of the plane and so on.

As well as your allotted time in either the Boeing or the Airbus sim, your slot includes all your ground briefings from your commercial airline pilot host and instructor.

This full motion flight simulator is quite possibly the biggest, best and most expensive you'll ever get to fly!

Availability

• Selected weekday and weekend dates throughout the year, subject to availability
• Simulator experiences operate 24 hours a day
• Generally sessions are available before 10:00 and after 22:00.  If providing enough notice, sessions may be available outside of these times
• At least two months notice is usually required for bookings

Suitable For

• Minimum age: B737 - 18 years / A320 - 16 years
• Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult
• There are no weight restrictions but participants must be able to fit in a real airline seat
• Generally if you can fly in a aeroplane this experience will be suitable for you
• Participants should consult with a doctor if unsure of the suitability

Spectators

• One spectator may accompany you free of charge

Anything Else

• You are permitted to take video and photos while inside the simulator for personal use only
• Once you have booked your date your session can not be recheduled and vouchers are not refundable
