What Can I Expect

All aboard to drive a double decker bus! Taking place at Prestwold aerodrome circuit near Loughborough, these experiences give you the chance to go driving in a big Leyland double decker. The stuff of bus driving dreams!

Bright, red double decker buses are synonymous with London. Literally hundreds of Leyland Titans and Nationals were built for London Transport in the 1970s and 80s. If ever you were standing on Oxford Street at the time, a constant flow of these two-level buses would have trundled past you.

And of course, for anyone who's ever hopped onboard a double decker as a school kid, will remember how half us would dash upstairs to the top deck for the views and the other half would fight over who would sit on the back seat. Now these experiences put you firmly in the driving seat.

As you might well imagine, these double decker driving experiences are really popular. And remember, you're not the passenger paying your fare - you're the one driving the thing. Climb aboard. Get comfy in the driver's cab and get ready to roll.

Don't forget that your bus, with its upper and lower decks, measures in at 4.4m high, 10m long and 2.5m wide - far bigger than any car. That means you have to be more spatially-aware (ever been on the top deck when brushing past overhanging trees?!) and go carefully when negotiating this specially laid-out auto-test.

Guide your double decker around the slalom. Attempt to get the bus into reverse to then back into a parking space. It's not as easy as the professional bus drivers make it look, but you'll have an absolute ball trying. Book your ‘on the buses' moment today!

• Minimum age 17
• Under 18s must have parental/guardian consent to participate
• A full valid driving licence is required and must be produced on the day
• Height restrictions: minimum 4ft 10in, maximum 6ft 4ins
• Weight restrictions: maximum 20 stone
• Participants must be in good health and wear glasses if required
