What Can I Expect

Clay pigeon shooting near Nuneaton - with live rounds! Yep, that’s right. We’re talking real ammo and a real gun. You will have 25 or 50 rounds to fire at those clay pigeons flying through the sky of this shooting range on the Warwickshire/Leicestershire border at Stoke Golding airfield.

You will be using a Beretta 686E gun for these shoots. It’s a very nice sporting shotgun made by famous firearms manufacturer Beretta. It’s a lovely gun to handle, with chrome steel barrels and nice walnut wood stock.

This is a 12-gauge gun with 30” double barrels. It weighs in at around 3.5kg, but has been designed to be easy to handle. It is also suitable for all levels of shooter, from total beginners to those with some clay experience.

On the day of your experience, the shooting coach will carry out the safety briefing, before getting you kitted out with your gun and protective gear. Now you’re ready to face the clays. They’ll be fired in over and under trajectories, so keep a keen eye, track them in the sky and then blast them to pieces!

And remember, this is live fire clay pigeon shooting. You’ll have a total of 25 or 50 live rounds to fire and more can be bought on the day, if there’s time.

If you’ve never held a gun before, this is quite the opener for you. If you’ve already tried air rifle shooting, this is a great next step. All the gear you need is included and the shooting range at the former Stoke Golding airfield is well placed on the border of Leicestershire and Warwickshire.
