What Can I Expect

Bi-plane aerobatics in Kent - a flight to turn your world upside down! We are offering 15 and 30-minute flights out of Headcorn in a vintage bi-plane, to fly aerobatics high in the Kentish skies.

Say ‘bonjour' to this Stampe SV. Built under licence by Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Nord (SNCAN) in 1948, fewer than 1000 of these French and Algerian-built versions of the original Belgian wartime biplane were produced. And you will be flying in one of them!

G-BPLM, formerly known under the French registration F-BHET, has crossed the English Channel to live in Kent. Once upon a time she was part of the famous Rothman's display team, wowing crowds at airshows in Britain and all over Europe. Now it's your chance to experience those loops and rolls for yourself.

There'll be a thorough pre-flight briefing before you step out to meet the Stampe. Pre-flight checks done, it's time to prepare for take off from this grass runway at Headcorn (just how the Stampes like it. None of the smooth tarmac business for these plucky bi-planes).

Once airborne, you will be showing your friends and family gathered below just what this Stampe can do. It'll certainly involve being inverted in the air, so you will literally see the Garden of England upside down.

If you're up for it and your pilot proposes it, you might well have the chance to take the controls for yourself and even initiate a little stunt move of your own. It's thrilling stuff, made all the more real by the fact that this is an open-cockpit plane you will be flying in.

Don't worry about being cold though, you'll be kitted out in an Irvin flying jacket to keep you cosy and looking the part. One final fly past, a wave to your buddies below and it's time to land, taxi back to the apron and say ‘au revoir' to your new little Gallic aeronautical friend.

Book your 15 or 30-minute slot in the Stampe for your exhilarating session of bi-plane aerobatics over Kent.
