What Can I Expect

The Bear Grylls Challenge - have you got what it takes? Test your brain, body and reflexes with these adrenaline-fuelled challenges that have been inspired by Bear's own adventures. Buy your voucher to do one or two of these activities on offer in Birmingham.

The great thing about these Challenge gift vouchers is that they are totally flexible. You buy the voucher and the person you're buying it for can choose which of the 'Hero' activities on offer they'd like to do. The activity menu includes archery, shooting, axe throwing and climbing. 

As the man himself says: 'The challenges are inspired by those I've encountered around the world and specially adapted to give adventurous souls some mind-blowing fun'. So prepare to push yourself and your body. Just remember: never give up!

In the archery bunker it's all about mind-set and technique. Lock your gaze directly at the targets and see if you can get your arrows flying straight and true. Will you beat Bear's own top score?

Over at the shooting range, you'll be handling air rifles and pistols to shoot at a variety of targets. No worries if you've never even picked up a gun before let alone fired one, all the coaching you need is included.

For climbing, 'all that matters is the step ahead' as Bear wisely says. Time to be bold and take that first step. There are over 20 different climbing routes on offer, inspired by the epic climbing in Yosemite National Park and you can try bouldering too.

Axe throwing will inspire your inner lumberjack. You'll be shown how to lift, handle and throw the axes, so let's see if you manage to get it to land square-on into those chunks of wood!

As well as doing your chosen Hero activities, these Bear Grylls Challenge vouchers also give you unlimited access to the assault course (where you scramble, climb, crawl and jump against the clock). Stay sharp, keep your wits and go for it, just like Bear!

Availability

• Thursday - Friday 11 - 5pm, Saturdays 9 - 7pm and Sundays 9 - 5pm
• Open on the occasional Monday and Wednesday (30th Oct, 1st Nov, 18th, 20th and 27th Dec 

Suitable For

• Age Restrictions: Participants must be 5+ years (exception shooting please see restrictions below. 8 and 9 year olds must be accompanied on the activity by an adult aged 18 or over. This adult must have a full activity ticket. Guests aged 10-16 years will need an adult present at check-in to sign waivers, but can enjoy the adventure unaccompanied. Parent or guardian accompanying those aged 10 to 13 is required to remain on site. Exception Axe Throwing minimum age is 15+)
• All guests participating in an activity need to complete our general attraction waiver.  Please note that you will complete this form on site on arrival, so there is no need to print and complete ahead of time
• Due to the nature of our activities, pregnant guests are not permitted to take part in any of our experiences at The Bear Grylls Adventure

Shooting

• Age Restrictions: Participants must be 8+ years.Guests aged 10-15 must be accompanied on the activity by a  participating parent or guardian aged 18+ on a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children. That parent or guardian must purchase a full ticket for the activity. Our activity instructors  cannot assume the position of guardian for participants aged 10-15.

Climb

• Suitable for guests aged 5+
• Children aged 5-10 will need to be accompanied on the activity by an adult aged 18+
• Guests aged 10-14 years will need an adult present at check-in to sign waivers, but can enjoy the adventure unaccompanied

Archery

• Suitable for guests aged 5+
• Guests aged 5-10 will need to be accompanied on the activity by an adult aged 18+
• Guests aged 10-14 years will need an adult present at check-in to sign waivers, but can enjoy the adventure  unaccompanied
• No weight or height restrictions

Axe Throwing

• Age Restrictions: Participants must be 15+ years. Guests aged 15-16 years will need an adult present at check-in to sign waivers, but can enjoy the adventure unaccompanied

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome

Anything Else

• Please note:  It is recommended to book at least 14 days in advance of your preferred date
• Guests must arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled activity time
