What Can I Expect

Get ready for the spins on an aerobatics experience in Harwich! A 30-minute aerobatic flight in a Robin 2112 is on the cards - if you dare.

Based at the very quiet and easy-going Great Oakley Airfield in the East Anglian countryside, you'll find this little gem of a plane. The Robin is a two-seater, low-wing, sports trainer aircraft. And when we say trainer, we mean training pilots to perform aerobatics, which is all rather exciting!

Your lesson experience will last around 30-minutes and timings are chock-to-chock, which means from engine start up to shut down. As soon as you reach altitude, your pilot instructor will perform a little gentle roll to get you into the swing of things…

Before you know it, you'll be upside down looking down at the ground…but then you'll see the sky…then the ground from a sideways view… It'll definitely be a ‘woaah' moment when you experience your first aerobatic move, but you'll be hooked and wanting more.

This sporty little plane will be only too pleased to oblige, so hold on to those shoulder straps and prepare for turns, loops and rolls galore in the skies around Harwich.

And did we mention that the Robin 2112 is a trainer aircraft? That means it has two sets of controls, so if you're up for it, your pilot instructor will show you how to initiate an aerobatics move.
