Burn those calories (between 500 to 1000, according to the experts!) and learn a new dance with these taster Zumba lessons held at centres all around the country. This is fitness fun and dance combined and each class is hosted by qualified Zumba teachers who'll get you moving in time to the music.

Zumba was invented accidentally by Alberto 'Beto' Perez who taught aerobics classes. One day he forgot his usual music, so put on a mix CD he found in his car of Latino sounds and this new way to keep fit and dance was born. Now people all over the world are dancing the Zumba.

These dance taster lessons are offered at centres the length and breadth of the UK, so wherever you are you'll be able to get into the Zumba vibe by enjoying one of these introductory classes near you.

- Allow one hour at the dance centre 
- You will be learning Zumba for between 45 and 60 minutes
- All classes led by qualified Zumba dance teachers


- Lessons are held all year round
- Classes are during the week (often in evenings) and at weekends

- You must be at least 18 years old to take part in these classes
- There are no height or weight restrictions, but you must be mobile to make the most of the moves and be ready for an energetic work out
