Helicopter Flights Hampshire
Take one of these helicopter training flights in Hampshire and you'll be taking off from inside the Thruxton Race Circuit - yes, there is indeed an airfield with one hard and one grass runway in the midst of the famous track!
We are offering helicopter lessons for 20, 30 or 60 minutes, piloted by the expert two seater helicopter instructors at Thruxton airfield. If you're wondering what it's like to be in a helicopter, amongst aviation types there is a saying : "To fly is heavenly, to hover is divine" and you're sure to find that out for yourself as you will be taking the controls too!
Once you've landed back on terra firma, your instructor will be happy to answer any questions and will be on hand to discuss and provide information on further training if you've been bitten by the 'helicopter bug'. You will also be presented with personalised heli-flying certificate to show that you have taken control of a helicopter.
Experience Summary: All lessons include a welcome briefing and explanation of how the controls work. Your chosen flight time (quoted from start up to shutdown) will give you the chance to pilot the helicopter. At the end of the experience you'll be presented with a personalised certificate. Flights are usually in a Robinson R22 aircraft.
Availability: This helicopter experience takes place all year round subject to suitable weather conditions. Lessons may be affected by activity on the racing circuit which surrounds the airfield.

Requirements: Minimum age 14, maximum weight 17 stone.
Spectators and Facilities: This Hampshire helicopter centre welcomes spectators who are keen to come and watch, there is a clubhouse on the airfield serving food and drink.
