What Can I Expect

Get into the beat on a music production workshop in Birmingham! Visit a professional recording studio to learn all about acoustic and digital music production techniques.

Timbaland. Max Martin. Pharrell Williams. Linda Perry. Rick Rubin. All legendary producers in all sorts of modern music genres, clocking up hit after hit after hit for the artists they work in the studio with. Now here's your chance to see how the magic happens behind those heavy, sound-proofed studio doors.

Your host for these workshops is experienced music producer and DJ Jake. He's the owner of this high-tech Birmingham studio, which houses a live stream/rehearsal room, recording studio and production room. This room is where the real work begins, turning those vocal and instrument takes into brilliantly produced audio.

It's pretty impressive when you first walk in there. A bank of screens, the desk and the faders, the gadgets all around. And right in the middle is the producer's seat. Learn from the master and you'll be well on your way to becoming adept at producing your own music.

Throughout your session you'll be totally hands-on. From laying down the tracks, to the final mastering and edit to produce that radio-friendly three and a half minutes of hit song, you'll be there.

By the end of your session with studio whizz Jake, you'll have produced a track that you'll be able to download. That means you'll be able to share your musical masterpiece, so all your friends and family can add your track to their personal playlist!
