What Can I Expect
A cheeky Monkey Experience in Essex for you! Get to know the loveable Tamarin monkeys at this indoor petting zoo near Waltham Abbey on these immersive experiences.
Anyone aged two years or over can meet the gorgeous Tamarins. These teeny tiny primates are native to central South America. They're playful and inquisitive. They are also highly intelligent too and are actually really good at problem solving and working things out!
The ranger host of your monkey experience will tell you all about the Tamarins and how their natural habitat has been recreated in Essex. Through the team's deep love and respect for all creatures, they take the time to care for and cherish all of their residents - and these little tamarins are utterly fascinating to observe.
Very much used to being around humans and being handled, under the guidance of your ranger, you will be able to get up close to the monkeys, interact with them and assist with feeding too (always great fun!).
All in all you will spend around 20-30 minutes with the ranger and the Tamarin monkey tribe. After that, you are more than welcome to stay and look around the mini zoo, with reptiles, amphibians, little mammals, fish and birds galore.
