Coast & Country Discovery Day with Helicopter Flight

What Can I Expect

Walk and fly on a coast and country discovery day! Be it rolling countryside or dramatic coastlines, these unique packages combine a lovely walk with a flight in a helicopter - and some nice little extras are included too.

Dig out those stout boots and head off on your electronically-guided hike. It might cross rolling hills and lush fields, weave in and out of ancient forests, or head along well-worn clifftop paths. All itineraries are around eight miles long and they are all circular.

Take your time, stop to capture those landscapes on camera and just generally soak up being in the great outdoors. Look out for wildlife, listen to the birdsong and appreciate just how utterly lovely a hike can be in this country!

Having arrived back at base, it's time to follow the same coastal or country route again - but this time in a helicopter. These thrilling discovery rides will take you right along the route, giving you the opportunity to see everything you walked past from the air. Your pilot will point out the main sights for you and you'll all have a good panoramic view from the helicopter.

After your flight the fun doesn't stop there. These superb packages also include Cream Tea or Chocolates and Bubbly at your chosen destination. There's nothing like tucking into a freshly-baked scone with cream and jam after a nice walk. And if it's cream tea you're having, it's the perfect moment to sit down in a relaxed atmosphere and chat about all the things you saw.

Availability

• Typically flights take place at least one weekend day per month from April to October
• Dates and flight times are subject to availability and weather conditions

Suitable For

• Minimum age six
• Under 12s must be accompanied by a participating adult
• Maximum height 6ft 6ins
• Weight restrictions: maximum 15 stone*  please see anything else section

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome and may take photographs
• Most venues will have toilets and refreshments on site

Anything Else

• Flying activities have maximum weights (per seat) to ensure health and safety along with the comfort of fellow passenger
• You must enter passenger/participant weight at the time of booking an experience. If weight varies between the time of initial booking and date of flight experience it remains the responsibility of the customer to update their individual weight via their online account prior to flight
• All passengers will be weighed before flight and if disparity exists between weight disclosed and actual weight (within reason), the passenger may be illegible to fly

• Please note that the maximum weight limit for the Co Pilot Seat on a helicopter pleasure flight varies depending on aircraft and other operational considerations
• If as a party of one you weigh in excess of 15 stone, you may still be able to fly however you will need to purchase an additional seat. This seat will either have to remain unoccupied or can be occupied by an individual as long as the combined total as listed above is not exceeded
