What Can I Expect

Also known as Hawarden, the airport at Chester is a very special place. It's owned and operated by Airbus UK and this is where the incredible (and very cute) Beluga supersized planes transport Airbus wings manufactured on site. So if you're a big jet fan, you're in the right place!

The simulator is in the main aviation park airport buildings, where the legendary Chock's Away Diner that is open to the public is also located. The team at Chester will welcome you, ready to guide you through your simulated flight session. No previous flying experience is needed to fly this super realistic Boeing 737 sim and budding pilots as young as 10 years old can take part.

The simulator is a full replica 737 cockpit, with 180-degree wraparound screens. It runs full commercial software and hardware, which means all the flight deck systems are fully functional, from the fuel gauges to the cabin pressurisation readings. And yes, that also includes being able to switch on and off the seatbelt signs!

On a 45-minute experience you'll be able handle a take-off, fly a short sector and land at your destination airport. An extended 60-mins sim session in Chester gives you enough time to handle the flight from engine start up to shut down. Or you can practice approaches and landings. It's all very flexible. And of course, you can choose your airport and even the weather.
