What Can I Expect

Brilliant bird photography courses in Surrey! Join commercial wildlife photographer John Daniels in his Bird Studio in Dunsfold for bespoke one and two-day bird photography workshops.

Surrounded by mature gardens and with direct access to adjacent woodlands, the Bird Studio is perfectly placed for observing and photographing the indigenous wildlife, in particular birds. There is a very healthy and varied bird population around this part of Surrey.

John specialises in bird photography and his work has been used in national adverts, on calendars, in books and magazines and has literally thousands of pictures on photo agency sites. He has a very keen eye for capturing animals and birds in movement, which makes for spectacular images.

As a photographer working with wild creatures, John knows how important the level of consideration and empathy for your subjects is. This ethos is infused through all the wonderful images he captures - and the aim of these courses is to transmit those same values to you.

All course content is completely geared to you. If you're a beginner, one-day bird photography is the ideal pick for you. On the two-day course, you'll go a lot more in-depth regarding the techniques John uses to such great effect to get those great shots.

You will learn such a lot during these sessions. John is incredibly knowledgeable, having photographed birds for several decades, ever since he took pictures of the birds in his garden with his first camera at the age of 11 years.

While accommodation isn't included with the courses, John will only be too pleased to suggest places to stay local to his Dunsfold studio if you are travelling to attend your course.
