Head into the hairpins at full speed with our Rally Experiences in Essex! This friendly rally school just north of Stansted operates on a former airfield circuit, so you'll be getting to grips with concrete, loose dirt and gravel surfaces on taster, half day or full day rallying sessions.
What we love about this school is that all experiences give you the chance to drive both a front and rear wheel rally car. All cars used are fully race prepped, so that means a completely stripped down cockpit, full roll cages, proper rally Recaro bucket seats and body harnesses too. The fleet of rally cars used include classic MkIII Ford Escorts, Vauxhall Astras, Ford Sierras and the pocket rocket Peugeot 205.
All these experiences in Essex start with a rally briefing and getting kitted out in helmets. When it's your turn to go rallying, you'll have one lap as a familiarisation session for your very first lap, before going all out for your allotted full throttle laps. There's a short break in between cars, but then you'll swap front wheel drive for rear wheel drive (or vice versa) for more thrilling laps negotiating the hairpins, straights and sweeping corners too. By now you know the circuit a bit better and can really start to hone those newly found rally driving skills. Each lap you do will be tighter, faster and more stylish with a few powerslides and even handbrake turns thrown in too.
With all these options available, there really is no excuse for not wanting to have a go at these rally experiences in Essex. Friends and family will love the activity too, as they can watch from the covered stand and enjoy a direct view of all the rally action. To round off your rallying, all sessions end with a full speed passenger ride where one of the instructor drivers will take you almost literally, for a spin around the special stage you will now be so familiar with.
