What Can I Expect

Welcome to Waddesdon Manor for your VIP visit! This is a fully-hosted tour of the impressive stately home, which includes a welcome breakfast, guided tour of the house and the wine cellars, a wine tasting lunch and free time to enjoy the amazing grounds too.

Waddesdon Manor was built in the 19th century in the French Renaissance chateau style by Baron de Rothschild, who filled his elegant home with opulent works of art and artefacts, as well making sure the wine cellar was filled with the finest wines! The National Trust is now the custodian of this impressive stately home.

You’ll be collected from the rendezvous point in the car park and taken by shuttle bus to the house. You’d be forgiven for thinking you were in the Loire valley in France with the very Gallic style of architecture that makes Waddesdon Manor so distinctive.

Inside is equally impressive. After a hot drink and pastries, you’ll tour sumptuous and palatial rooms filled with incredible artwork, furniture and artefacts, learning lots of history from your tour guide. And of course, you’ll be able to pose any questions you have too.

The wine cellar is renowned for being one of the best. An expert sommelier will show you around and explain things to you, before you settle down for a wine tasting and light lunch. You’ll taste eight different wines, accompanied by cheese and cured meats, all carefully chosen to pair impeccable with the wines.

A lovely post-lunch stroll around the extensive gardens and grounds is the perfect way to round off the day you enjoyed a VIP tour at Waddesdon Manor, before congregating with your guide for the return shuttle back to the car park.
