What Can I Expect

White Water Rafting in Scotland - the setting for this rafting experience and white water day in Perthshire is the stuff of dreams with its rugged hills and mighty rivers, where a myriad of small tributaries come together to create rivers like the Tay that offer rapids suitable for all paddlers from novices to the pros.

These Scottish highland rivers are free flowing and rafting water levels fluctuate dramatically over the season, with high water usually from September to April providing the exhilaration of greater speed, bigger waves and challenging rafting. Lower flows during the summer months provide a more scenic and gentle introduction, but require tight teamwork and more precise manoeuvring.

Our half day of rafting sees you tackling the white water along a stretch of Scotland's River Tay from Aberfeldy to Grandtully. It starts off gently enough, but soon you'll be tackling the likes of the zoom flume and the assign machine - some of Perthshire's finest watery challenges!

Opting for the full 'white water day' gives you a fun-packed whole day that can include rafting, river bugging or canyon scrambling. The idea of this experience is that you choose two of the three activities offered to participate in. By the end of this, one of the most gnarly days out on the water you can find in Scotland, you may be feeling a bit battered and bruised, but the exhilaration levels will be at a maximum.

Our white water rafting Scotland centre in Perthshire is renowned for being friendly and fun - a perfect choice for groups of hens and stags who want to forego the beers for something a bit more active! More white water rafting venues are available and over 500 more amazing experiences searchable from IntotheBlue's home page.

Superb fun. Team were great and very helpful. We had a great time on the water, despite a lack of much white water. Lots of tricks. Great fun. Highly recommend.

First time White Water Rafting and it wasn't as scary as expected!!!! The rapids were quite tame as there hadn't been much rain but the water was freezing. The instructors were very welcoming and made the day. Would highly recommend this for a great day out with friends.

The activity was good fun, guides made it a good laugh and would recommend to anyone wanting to try white water rafting for the first time. Word of warning - we booked this through a deal site and the activity we got was a level 1 rafting, this is very tame and for beginners - so just make sure the event is going to be appropriate for your group. Staff and day though were great.
