What Can I Expect

Lambing experiences in lovely Rutland! Down on the farm, there are over 370 sheep in the flock. These lamb feeding experiences will see you join the farmers as they tend to their ewes during the busy lambing season.

Greetham House Farm, between Cottesmore and Stretton, is in the beautiful county of Rutland, adjacent to Leicestershire. Agriculture is still very much a way of life around these parts and it’s a real treat to be able to visit a proper working farm in the heart of England’s smallest county.

If you book for the Lamb Feeding Experience, you’ll be focusing on the little lambs in their pens who are not being fed by their mothers. As cute as buttons, these orphan lambs are hand-reared and they love nothing more than being bottle-fed and petted.

During your visit to the farm you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and find out all about life as a sheep farmer in Rutland. There will be lots to do and lots going on, but it’s really quite an adventure to experience what it’s like on a farm when it’s lamb time.
