The hire centre has lots of suggestions for nice half-day itineraries and routes for you, stretching down to the Borders, up towards St Andrews and across towards Glasgow or the Firth of Forth on the North Sea coast.

When Is It Available

• Weekdays and weekends throughout the year
• Hire must be taken within opening hours of 9am – 5 pm
• All dates are subject to availability of your chosen vehicle
• The car can be driven in the rain, but severe weather conditions may make it not suitable or safe to take the car out. This is at the discretion of the hire team on the day

Suitable For

• All drivers must be aged between 25 and 79 and must have held a full driving licence for 2 years
• A clean (minor endorsements accepted) driving licence must be produced prior to commencement of hire
• One additional driver may be added for a £25.00 charge payable direct, providing they meet the insurance requirements

Spectators

• Passengers are welcome if there is space in your chosen vehicle

Anything Else

• Vehicles are insured on a fully comprehensive policy
• The cars are also covered by a breakdown and recovery scheme
• The hirer must leave an open credit card voucher for £1000.00 to £1250.00 depending on the type of car
• In the event of unavailability of a chosen car due to accident, mechanical or other operations factors an alternative car or alternative date will be offered 
• The cars are supplied with a full tank of petrol and must be returned with a full tank of petrol
• There is an additional charge of £1.50 per mile if the mileage allowance of 75 miles is exceeded
