Join the Formula Renault motorsport experts for a thrilling single seater experience at the wonderful Bicester Heritage Circuit!

These experiences use fully prepped cars that are or have been driven in the Formula Renault Motor Racing Championships in the UK. A highly-regarded ‘entry-level’ series, Formula Renault is an incubator for budding F1 drivers.

All this, combined with the fact that you will be driving at the legendary Bicester Motion centre, means you’re getting one of the most authentic days out on the circuit possible.

The Renault 2.0 open-wheeler weighs just 480kg, so it’ll do 0-60mph in just 2.3 seconds and has a top speed of 173mph. When you’re literally just inches from the tarmac, that’ll feel astronomically fast.

On the outside it’s all very much F1-style wings and spoilers. On the inside it's all very F1 too, with a six-speed sequential gear box.

So what can you expect on your Formula Renault experience day at Bicester? You will be driving solo out on the track, so the first lap of your experience will be behind an instructor-driven pace car and then it’s over to you for the rest of your laps. Just you and your Formula Renault racer!

We are offering vouchers for 6 or 12 laps of the Bicester Motion track in your Formula Renault. If you go Gold, you get various upgrades, including complimentary branded balaclava and gloves pack, access to premium time and dates, as well Collision Damage Waiver included.

Don’t forget, these Formula Renault experiences at Bicester are run by motorsport pros in actual race cars, so you get an insight into a race series that supports young hopefuls as they drive their way up through the ranks of FIA-approved motor racing.

When Is It Available

Suitable For

• Participants must hold a full manual driving licence (if not a UK licence then passport to be brought in addition to the licence) in order to drive
• Health conditions such as heart problems, epilepsy and other illnesses must be disclosed when booking
• Maximum height is 6'3''
• Minimum height 5'2''
• Maximum weight is 19 stone
• Minimum age of 18

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome, anyone 16 years or under must be supervised
• No pets allowed

Anything Else

• For reasons of hygiene, participants are required to purchase a 'Health & Hygiene Package' consisting of a balaclava and gloves at a discounted cost of £6 (included for gold drivers)
• Narrow fitted flat shoes should be worn and are not provided
• 50% extra track time can be bought on the day if schedule allows
• Light refreshments available to purchase on the day (Cash only)
• Photos and Videos on SD cards are available to buy on the day
• Drivers must bring a valid driving licence and credit card to guarantee the collision damage excess on the day of their experience - The standard excess included with your voucher is £5000 and covers the driver for £15,000 worth of damage to the car they are driving should an accident or collision occur. Should you wish to reduce the excess there are two options, either a level 1 collision damage waiver reducing this to £1000 or level 2 reducing the excess to £500, the waiver options also increase the cover to £20,000. This can be arranged on the day at the track for a small additional fee of £35 or £70 respectively. Please note that no payment is taken up front on the credit card, a bond is created and payment only taken to cover the excess if damage to the vehicle occurs.
• If you do not have a credit card to cover the £5,000 excess then a debit card can be used. The amount will be taken from your account on the day. A refund to the debit card will be carried out after completion of your drive should no collision or damage occur. You will need to return to the booking-in desk to administer the refund. Please note that there will be an admin fee payable direct of  £18   if using a debit card.
