What Can I Expect

Adopt a beehive and enjoy the unique experience of supporting honeybees—plus an invitation to meet them in person! This makes a thoughtful gift for anyone fascinated by bees or curious about beekeeping but unable to commit to managing their own hive. It’s especially popular with grandparents and grandchildren, with both adult and child adoption packs available.

The bees you’ll be supporting live in hives at Wisley in Surrey, where experienced beekeepers run training courses, events, and hands-on experience days to help others learn how to care for happy, healthy, and productive bees.

As a thank-you for your support, you’ll receive a selection of bee-themed goodies, all packed into a bright and adorable bee tote bag. Inside, you’ll find delicious honey, a wooden honey twizzler for drizzling that golden nectar, and a seed bomb to scatter in your garden, window box, or any green space. The specially chosen seeds grow plants that bees love, helping them thrive.

Children’s adoption packs include extra fun items such as a bee-themed cool bag, a badge, arts and crafts activities, and plenty of bee facts, along with a one-year adoption certificate. Adult packs include thoughtful treats such as beeswax lip balm or hand cream, a bee key ring, and a bee-themed tin containing honeycomb.

You’ll also receive an invitation in January to attend one of the “Meet the Bees” open days held during the spring at Wisley. This gives you the chance to get up close and hands-on with the very bees you’ve been supporting throughout the year.

By adopting a beehive for a year, you’ll be helping protect the honeybee population, enjoying a bundle of lovely bee-themed gifts, and even visiting the bees themselves. What’s not to love about an “Adopt a Beehive” pack?
