What Can I Expect
The mythical Avebury Stone Circle helicopter tour! See the incredible stone circles of Averbury from the unique perspective of the air on these thrilling helicopter rides.
Avebury’s stone circles are extraordinary. The exterior circle is the largest standing stone circle in the world and the incomplete inner circles feature stones weighing over 100 tonnes. And even more surprising, is the fact that the village of Avebury was actually built within the main circle.
Being able to see these Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments from the above is a real privilege. Surrounded by lush green fields, the stones stand proud, encompassing the likes of Avebury Manor. It really is breathtaking.
There’s no doubt such ancient edifices exude an aura and energy that can’t be explained - just like the questions of who, why and when, nobody knows the true story behind Avebury Henge and stone circles!
Your sightseeing flights take off from Vowley Farm, which is a private estate near Royal Wootton Bassett. It’s a great location for a helicopter tour, as you head south to discover Avebury from the air.
Avebury Stone Circle helicopter tours last around 20 minutes and are operated by an executive Bell JetRanger helicopter or similar. If you’d like to add an extra tasty treat to your experience, go for the cream tea voucher for tea and scones before or after your flight!
