What Can I Expect

Experience aerobatics at Turweston Aerodrome in Northamptonshire! These 20-minute introductory flights will show you some of the moves you can do high above this small and friendly airfield near Brackley.

Flights are operated by a Bellanca-built 7ECA aircraft. These classic high-wing trainers are ideal for giving budding pilots their first taste of aerobatic flying. With a side-by-side seating configuration and excellent vision from the cockpit, the Bellanca is a delight.

The aim of the game with these flights is to be (if you’re up for it) as hands-on as possible. Of course, your instructor pilot will handle take off from Turweston, but once you’ve achieved cruising height, it’s over to you.

Amazingly, with no flying experience, you could be engaging in loops and rolls in the Bellanca. It takes a fair amount of gusto to give these a go, but you are in good hands with an expert instructor and a good, solid aeroplane like the Bellanca.

You may not realise it (and that’s perfectly understandable as you might well be concentrating on the aerobatic manoeuvres), but flying over Turweston gives you superb views of the Northamptonshire countryside, including neighbouring Silverstone!
