Superb RS rally driving activity in Yorkshire. The instructors on this rally experience day are firm believers in the theory that practice makes perfect, so there is minimal talking and maximum driving time round the dirt-munching track at Seaton Ross, Yorkshire. What's more, this is your chance to drive one of the all-time classic rally cars, the rear wheel drive Escort, symbols of the golden days of rallying before all those fancy four wheel drive cars came along - enjoy the slide!
Half Day:
The rally driving course begins with a session straight in there, learning the three key elements of rally driving - handbrake turns, figures of eight and powerslides. Then it's time to put those new found skills to the test with four sessions around the special rally stage; a twisting circuit of mud and gravel. It's a proper set up too, with your instructor talking you through the stage from the co-drivers seat via intercom! After your four laps it's time to go for broke for the timed lap - the quickest driver wins the trophy and the champers! You can expect to get over 35 minutes actual drive time with this half day experience. The session ends with you storming around the stage once more as co-driver.
Full Day:
The full day follows the same itinerary as the half day, but you get a lot more timed runs around the special stage in the afternoon, so in total you have the luxury of over an hours driving time in the car. For all that extra effort, all drivers take home a trophy with awards for fastest and best improver. For those on the full day course, lunch is taken at a local Inn, but the price is not included in the experience cost. One hour 'taster' rally driving lessons are available on our main rallying page.
