What Can I Expect

Flying lessons in Warwickshire out of Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome! We are offering the full range of lessons at this long-established flight training centre just 10-minutes from beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon.

Headed up by flying principal Rodney Galiffe, the school has been training new pilots (including hundreds of Air Cadets) since 1982. This South Warwickshire flight centre is a great place to learn, as the teaching is second to none. It's approved under EASA regulations by the UK CAA, offering a fully integrated programme for those who want to become pilots.

They also delight in taking up newbies on their very first flying lesson. That's why we are offering 30, 45 and 60-minute trial flights in two and four-seater aircraft (such as Cessnas and Pipers), out of Wellesbourne Mount. The airfield is ideal, as there is no commercial traffic and no smog - just open, flat Warwickshire countryside to fly over.

On the day of your lesson, you'll be greeted by your flying instructor. After walking out onto the tarmac apron to the aircraft and once comfortable in your harness, you'll be shown the cockpit instruments and primary flying controls. No queuing on the runway for take off behind other air traffic, so you'll be maximising your time in the air.
