What Can I Expect

It's going to be a total blast on your premium Thames Barrier speedboat ride! Of all the speedboat experiences offered on the Thames, this is the most comprehensive, meaning you'll see pretty much every major landmark along the river during your 80-minute ride.

The departure point for these premium tours is the London Eye Pier. You can't get much more central than that, as you are literally adjacent to the famous Eye, opposite the Houses of Parliament and next to on the sunny South Bank.

From the moment you set off, it's clear this is no ordinary Thames ride. The skipper and hosting team are, quite frankly, all legends in their own lifetime. Not only are they pretty good at driving a RIB, they have that sense of fun and banter that'll keep you enthralled for the entire 80 minutes of your premium voyage.

After following the river under all those London bridges, round past Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs to Greenwich, it's time to blast the tunes out, open up the throttle and go warp speed towards the Thames Barrier.

These RIBs go really, really fast when they're allowed. And you know what that means. Time to get down with the tunes and get your hands in the air, as you sweep over the water at a serious rate of knots (30 to be precise!).

Having reached the giant movable flood dam that is the Thames Barrier (and checked whether it's raised and rotated, or open) you'll do a nifty turn and head back to base. More tunes, more funny anecdotes and fabulous nuggets of cockney history for the return journey, before disembarking at the London Eye Pier.

We are offering adult (15yrs+) and child (up to 14yrs) vouchers for these premium Thames Barrier speedboat rides. If you want to see absolutely everything there is to see on the Thames, this is the one to go for!
