What Can I Expect

Fab junior karting sessions at Knockhill Circuit in Fife! If you’re aged between 8 and 15 years and are at least 127cm (4ft’ 2”) tall, you can race on this thrilling 500m outdoor track.

For the younger kids aged between 8 and 12 years old, they will be racing in the Sodi LR5 karts. That’s LR for Little Racer and your miniature Lewis Hamilton will be making the most of the Honda GTX120cc-engined karts.

They are brilliant. Not only do they look the part, these Sodi LRs can reach 25mph (and when you’re just centimetres off the tarmac, that feels very fast!). They’re fully automatic, so really easy to drive.

What’s more, they are fully adjustable too. You can move the seat, the steering wheel height and the pedal distance. Safety is paramount, so they all have four-point harnesses and anti roll bars as well.

Teen karters between 12 and 15 years will usually be able to drive the Sodi GT5 karts, which are bigger and more powerful.

We are offering 20 and 30-minute karting vouchers at Knockhill. All sessions are an open race format, with up to 11 drivers out on the track at once. These junior karting experiences at Knockhill for kids aged 8 to 15 years are a great gift to give! 

When Is It Available

• Flat shoes are required for Karting, high heels, sandals, platform shoes and work boots are not permitted
• Waterproof outer suits will be provided in wet weather
• Food and drink can be purchased from Kinnaird’s Bistro or The Paddock Cafe & Bar
