What Can I Expect
Go karting at Knockhill in Fife! Scotland’s finest outdoor kart venue is open all year round and ready to welcome you with fun and fast race sessions in powerful karts.
Suitable for adults and teens 16 years or over, these Sodi GT5 karts are really cool. They run on LPG and are powered with a Honda GX270cc engine, making them pretty darn quick. In fact, hooning it down the long straight, you can reach speeds of up to 50 mph.
The lap record is 31.85 seconds, but anything around the 34.00 to 36.00 second mark is looking good. The purpose-built, smooth-tarmac track is 500 metres long and nine metres wide (enough for overtaking!), with four corners and a pit lane.
The whole thing is floodlit, so you can race after sundown. And not even a wee bit of Scottish rain will stop play, as waterproofs are made available. And believe us, a damp track makes racing even more fun!
We are offering vouchers for 20 and 30-minute go karting sessions at Knockhill. That equates to about 30 and 45 laps respectively, done in a single outing on the track.
Every kart is equipped with lap timing technology, so you can keep track of how you’re doing, how fast you're lapping and your position in the run of up to 12 karts out on the circuit at the same time.
