What Can I Expect
Axe throwing at Northumberland’s Slaley Hall estate! One of the premier locations in the North East for throwing axes and knives, these experiences are lots of fun for all ages from 14 years.
This outdoor activity centre is within the huge Slaley sporting estate, near the village of Hexham. It’s a wonderful forest setting amongst unspoilt countryside. The centre specialises in all sorts of activities, including these axe throwing sessions.
It’s highly likely you’ve never had the occasion to chuck and axe before, so all experiences start with a safety briefing and an intro on techniques. You will then have practice throws, before you start your scored rounds.
You will be throwing a mix of axes, hatchets and knives, aiming at big chunks of wood. At first, some of your throws are bound to end up on the floor, but (hopefully) you’ll soon be hearing that very satisfying thud as the blade wedges itself into the wooden target.
In total, you’ll spend around 45-minutes at the throwing arena, honing your axe lobbing skills and hopefully marking some points on your journey to possibly being crowned the king or queen of throwing!
Hosted by a top Geordie team at the fantastic Slaley Hall near Hexham, these axe throwing experiences are the best in Northumberland!
