Biggin Hill airport in Kent is one of the most renowned airports in the world for learning to fly, offering a wide choice of lessons from many of the commercial pilots who've gained their licences there. Biggin Hill also boasts a proud heritage as the front line Battle of Britain RAF station during the second world war - a history remembered each year with the Biggin Hill International Airfair, organised by sister company to Into the Blue, Air Displays International.
Known these days for being an active commercial airfield at the gateway to London, being positioned just 12 miles south east of the capital, Biggin Hill makes for an exciting and action-packed airport to take your first steps in flying. We work with the longest established flying school on the site, with three full time and four part flying instructors, including a resident CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) examiner.
Whichever flight duration you choose (and these times are 'brakes off to brakes on'), you will have the chance to tackle flying 'straight and level' in either a Cessna 152 or the four seater Piper Warrior. If you choose the four seater plane option, you can invite a friend to join you as observer in the back seat, so they too can enjoy the views of the City, the O2 Arena and even the Dartford Crossing on clear sky days.
