The individual tuition offered at this offroad driving centre ensures you get maximum training time in mastering the art of 4x4 off road driving. You will be tackling some serious off-road terrain - ranging from open fields with purpose built challenges to acres of varied woodland trails set in the Northamptonshire countryside near Corby. Off road driving experience days are also available at a wide range of other UK locations.
The experience starts with a safety briefing and then it's your turn to take to the wheel. Typically, you will be driving fully prepared Land Rover Defender 110s although there are usually other vehicle types available on the day.
The experience will start off on a 'training ground' - designed to give you an insight into some of the basic off-road conditions; crossing ditches, traversing side slopes, accelerating through mud and water and tackling 40 degree downhill slopes!
Then it's onto the 'white knuckle' stuff - water and mud up to the bonnet (don't worry, you're not expected to wash the vehicles at the end of your experience!) as you drive through twisting, narrow terrain.
By the end of your experience you will be amazed that you have just driven through terrain that previously you would have thought impassable! Lunch is included on a full day experience and on both experiences, tea/coffee are available.

On the full day you'll be driving for approximately 5.5 hours and on the half day for 2.5 hours. For a small extra charge, you can share the driving with up to two guests who can also travel in the car with you. Short, taster off road courses can be found on the main off roading section of our website.

Courses run weekdays and weekends, throughout the year. Full days usually start around 9.00am, half days usually operate 09:00-12:00 or 13:00-16:00.

The activities take place near Rockingham Castle, just North of Corby.

Drivers must be over 18 and have a full, valid driving licence. Please bring suitable outdoor clothes and wear sturdy boots in case of mud.

Up to two guests (minimum age 10) can travel in the car with the driver. Those with a full valid driving licence are also able to share the driving. There is a charge of £35 per person on the half day and £55 on the full day, whether they opt to share the driving or just ride as a passenger. On the full day this charge also covers the cost of lunch. These requirements must be notified to the operator in advance and paid directly to them on the day.
