The Canadian Lancaster is coming – buy your ticket for the flight of a lifetime!

It’s not everyday whilst working for IntotheBlue that something really unique comes up, but this particular experience is truly one of those ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunities. You have the chance to fly alongside the Royal Canadian Air Force Avro Lancaster BXFM213!

This is one of only two, yes TWO airworthy Lancs left in the world (the other being the PA474, the Lancaster that flies as part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight) and this Canadian cousin is coming to the UK in August for a visit!

We have to say, what with our Biggin Hill Air Show heritage and all that, we’re proud to be the only online activity gift voucher website offering this air-to-air experience on the one off date of the 20th August 2014.

You will be flying out of Humberside Airport in a modern Piper Seneca. Just as you’re enjoying the countryside views, you’ll hear the rumble of those engines. Before you know it, the Lanc is right there with you, gracefully owning the sky all around you. And yes, you’ll be close enough to be able to wave at the crew, so expect to get some fabulous photos of this great dame of the wartime skies.

Of course, a chance like this doesn’t come cheap. The Canadian Lanc is coming all the way from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (via Greenland and Iceland, like you do!) to visit, so you can just imagine the cost implications when it comes to fuel and maintenance. But just being part of this amazing event is more than worth it and you’ll be treated to VIPs views of BXFM213!
