Skydiving: The Ultimate Adrenaline Rush

Ever dreamt of being a bird? No, not the small, tweeting kind, but the soaring, majestic, wind-in-your-feathers kind? Well, we can’t exactly turn you into a bird, but we can offer the next best thing – skydiving!

It’s not just a sport or a hobby, it’s a journey that can change your perspective on life, gravity and whether or not you remembered to pack a clean pair of underwear.

Why Would You Want to Skydive?

Well, why would you want to eat chocolate? Why would you want to pet a puppy? Because it’s awesome, that’s why! Skydiving is awesome too and it’s the ultimate thrill ride, offering a unique blend of adrenaline, freedom and the chance to scream at the top of your lungs without anyone thinking you’re weird.

It’s also a great way to challenge yourself and step out of your comfort zone. As you plummet towards the earth, you’ll experience a sense of freedom and exhilaration that’s hard to match. Plus, the views are way better than those you’d get from a plane window.

Tandem skydiving – the easiest way to get your freefall fix!

How to Get Started

Are you ready to take the leap and experience the thrill of skydiving? We recommend you start with a tandem skydive, where you’re attached to an instructor who guides you through the jump. This allows you to experience the thrill of freefall, without the pressure of controlling the parachute yourself.

The first step is to book your jump. Into the Blue offers a range of skydiving experiences across the UK, making it easy to find a location that’s convenient for you.

Jump schools offer a tandem parachute jump from a height of 10,000ft or more. You’ll experience the thrill of around 30 seconds of freefall and reach speeds of around 120mph.

Plus, you’ll enjoy several minutes of descent under a parachute from around 5,000ft, giving you plenty of time to take in the stunning views. And all this for as little as £149! Check it out here

Want to Become a Skydiver?

So, you’ve had a taste and now you want to be a qualified skydiver? Well, it’s not as simple as just jumping out of a plane and hoping for the best. Becoming a proper skydiver involves lots of training and lots of practice.

If you really are serious about the skydiving business, you’ll want to consider an Accelerated Freefall (AFF) course. This is where you learn to skydive solo, with instructors guiding you through a series of levels until you’re competent enough to jump without assistance. After about 10 jumps and passing a few tests, you could be a certified skydiver!

Can You Make a Living Out of Skydiving?

While not everyone who skydives will go on to make it a career, there are indeed opportunities to make a living from skydiving. Some people become professional skydiving instructors, while others perform in skydiving shows or competitions.

There are also opportunities in related fields, such as parachute packing and maintenance, skydiving photography, videography and even skydiving equipment sales and manufacturing.

So, if you’re looking for a career that’s a bit more exciting than your average 9-5, skydiving could be the answer!
