Feeling romantic?

Ahhhh we *heart* St Valentine's Day!

Ahhhh we *heart* St Valentine’s Day!

Is it just us, or are you too only just getting over the whole Christmas and New Year thing, to realise that St Valentine’s Day is already nearly upon us?

We can’t cope with all these festivities, so despite the fact that we promised our nearest and dearest we’d put pen to paper to create some romantic sonnets (he’s French you see and they like that sort of thing!) we just haven’t got time!

So what’s a girl to do?

Whip the old credit card out and buy an activity gift voucher experience we can both enjoy, that’s what!

Much more exciting than soppy poetry, we’re tempted by the scuba diving lesson for two (in the hope that the other half buys the holiday in Sharm el-Sheikh to go with it!), or perhaps we should sort out his two left feet problem with a taster dance lesson for two, so we can shimmy away like Strictly Come Dancing pros on the dancefloor?

If all that seems a bit too action-packed, we also spotted leisure day passes for two giving you the chance to chill out together for the whole day in a Marriott hotel spa. If you’re feeling properly romantic there’s even the Lovers’ Spa Day at the Amida spa in either Middlesex or Kent, where you can relax and enjoy a selection of luxury spa treatments side by side.

And if you really are both mad, you can book yourselves onto a tandem bungee jump, so you can strap yourselves together and throw yourselves off a platform around 160 feet above the ground. Now there’s a chance to show your trust in each other! These double bungee jumps take place nationwide and cost £190 per couple.

However, the ultimate in romantic gestures  has to be an exclusive balloon ride for two. Imagine climbing into the basket and gently floating up and away through the dawn mist. If ever there was a scenario which lends itself to popping that question, surely a private hot air balloon flight has to be it!

A day out with feathered friends…
Anyone else miss Howard’s Way…or is just me?
