OK it’s Monday morning and we’re back at work. We’ve promised ourselves to not mention the football. Instead, we’re still enjoying the mini heatwave that’s been lapping up the UK and chatting about the fantastic Biggin Hill Air Fair that took place this weekend – our fave was to the very welcome return of crowd-pleaser the Harrier Jump Jet!

Which reminds us, our first ever Facebook competition to win a wingwalking experience in honour of the Air Fair weekend was a roaring success and Jo Manning will be taking on the task of clambering up onto a Boeing Stearman and flying through the air perched on the top wing!

Our winner Jo certainly put her thinking cap on for her entry, by writing us a poem to tell us why she’d be a worthy winner of the wingwalking experience. And in case you’re wondering what she wrote, here is her little verse in full:

“Pick me to wingwalk would be a dream come true
I often try to visit intotheblue
To my mum I’m a continual strain
Going on about being strapped to a Boeing Stearman biplane.
I believe in trying everything once
And even got my mum trying stunts
Her dream was to roll down the hill in a ball
Never did she think she would rather crawl
The experience was one that she will never forget
And one which my daughter has yet to regret
I want to show my daughter, how brave her mummy can be
So come intotheblue PICK ME!”

Jo will be taking her wingwalking flight very soon, so we look forward to seeing the photos!

A weekend of sport and leisure ahead
Deal or no deal?
