Home made mince pies – the business
The other week we were lamenting the fact that the big supermarket mince pies we were looking at had a sell by date before the big day on the 25th December. This spurred us on to by some mincemeat, with the intention of making some mince pies ourselves…
Well, we can proudly say two dozen of things have been baked already..and two dozen have already been eaten! So much nicer than shop bought ones, we’re slowly coming round to the idea that taking a little bit of time out to make home made goodies means you have better taste and you can feel proud that you are a domestic Goddess too!
As the big day gets nearer, I reckon some help from professional chefs who can tell you how to organise yourself for a dinner party would be great.
