So this is what the Into the Blue staff get up to at the weekends!

Not content with seeking out exciting new products all week long, our head of Product Development spent last weekend taking part in a thrilling dragon boat race, at Bewl water in Kent, to raise money for a local charity.

Nurse Klinger raising money for charity at the dragon boat racing

Our very own Nurse Klinger at Bewl water dragon boat racing this weekend

Of course, we’re writing this piece because we’re proud that our intrepid staff member managed to raise a sizable amount of money for the Bishop’s Down Primary school, but we’re also writing it as it’s a good excuse to publish photos of our Darren in a dress. Yes, a dress.

It seems the team decided on the theme of M*A*S*H for their fancy dress and Darren somehow ended up playing the role of nurse Klinger!

Mind you, it’s not to be sniggered at, as the quality of their team area which was decorated as a field military hospital won them a prize of £100 – even more money to put in the fund-raising coffers.

As for the dragon boat race, the team finished first overall in the heats amongst 65 boats and with hopes running high they raced in the grand final only to be pipped at the post to come fifth, just two seconds behind he winning dragon boats.

M*A*S*H was the theme and the aim was to raise lots of money for charity

Congratulations from all at Into the Blue and bravo for raising all that money for Bishop’s Down Primary school – it looked like a lot of fun.
