What Can I Expect
A glorious setting for two-seater helicopter lessons in Sussex! You'll be departing from Brighton City Airport, with the southern coastline and the South Downs National Park right on your flight path for these trial lessons in a helicopter.
This is an CAA-accredited flight training organisation, so it really is a specialist when it comes to helicopter pilot training. The centre boasts a sizeable fleet of helicopters, all of which are permanently based at the airport.
Your pilot instructor will show you around the two seater Schweizer S300 helicopter that'll be used for your lesson. Stable and easy to fly, the Schweizer boasts a larger-than-average cabin, with exceptional visibility too.
The airport, which now specialises in General Aviation, is buzzing, with many private planes and helicopters taking off and landing all the time, so on your 15, 30, 45 or 60 minute helicopter lesson you can feel like part of the Sussex jet-set too!
Once you've radioed for clearance from air traffic control, you'll soon be airborne. Then when it’s safe to do so, your instructor pilot will hand over control of the chopper to you. And that means you will be flying!
The views during these lessons are as spectacular as you’d imagine. Within seconds of take off you’ll spot Lancing College and the stunning Brighton and Hove coastline - that's how close this airport is to everything! These helicopter lessons over Sussex come highly recommended.
