What Can I Expect

Learn sunset photography skills at lovely Kenilworth Castle! Join an evening workshop hosted by expert landscape photographer Alan at the rather stunning setting of Kenilworth Castle ruins.

With a history that goes right back to the 1120s Norman era to the Elizabethan era, Kenilworth Castle has quite a story to tell. Now in ruins, English Heritage is the custodian of this unique landmark - and it’s the backdrop to your class.

The aim of the workshop is to teach you all about long-exposure photography. It is suitable for all levels (beginners included) and there will be individual tuition time for each pupil, which is why class sizes are kept to a maximum of six.

It’s certainly an amazing location. As the sun goes down, the magnificent ruins against the setting sun make for the most atmospheric photos. The evening skies are often quite spectacular, so it’s little wonder that Kenilworth Castle is one of tutor Alan’s favourite spots!

He will teach you everything you need to know about long exposure, low-light and night time photography. Of course, the weather and light varies and can make for tricky conditions for photographers, so Alan will guide you through these challenges.

The camaraderie and conviviality of these sunset photography workshops at Kenilworth castle is second to none, with like minded people getting together to learn how to take the most impressive photos of Kenilworth Castle at night!
