What's Included

What Can I Expect
When it comes to junior falconry in Nottinghamshire, our mini experiences are brilliant! Long enough to learn lots and short enough to keep their attention, these sessions are suitable for little ones as young as four years old. Everyone loves these one-hour sessions.
Out in the raptor field, you will be introduced to various birds of prey. Head falconer Dan is quite rightly very proud of his magnificent birds. As you’ll soon find out, each one has their own character - and they can be as cheeky as the kids!
Getting to meet and fly a Barn Owl and a Kestrel is totally amazing. Yes, they do have big claws, but they’ve been well-trained to land softly on your gloved hand - and if you reward them with a tasty treat, they will love you too.
And it’s a proper day out in the Nottinghamshire countryside, as you’ll be in the grounds of a popular family attraction near Farnsfield for these fun and exciting experiences.
Suitable for youngsters from the age of four, grown ups can use these vouchers too, so they can actively take part in the experience. If not, spectator tickets are available on the day (£10 at the time of writing) to accompany the children throughout their visit.
A great way to introduce youngsters to birds of prey and spending time outdoors, we think our junior falconry experiences near Newark in Nottinghamshire are the perfect activity for mini falconers (and their grown ups too!).
When Is It Available
- During national school holidays
- Sessions generally take place from 12:00 to 13:00
- Additional times may be available during busy periods
- Experiences are weather dependent, your experience will be rescheduled if bad weather is forecast

- The event takes place in the grounds of a family attraction park (Please note entrance to the attraction park is not included and will need to be purchased in order to access your experience)

Spectators
- Spectators may attend for a fee payable on the day, cash only
- Parents can purchase a voucher to handle the birds too and join the session to make it a whole family experience
