What Can I Expect

It’s all about the feel good thrills at Thorpe Park. Some of the UK’s very best rides are here, with visitors regularly raving about the coasters that’ll literally turn your world upside down.

In fact, you might hear talk of the Big Six. That refers to the biggest and best rides at Thorpe Park, namely Hyperia, SAW: The Ride, Colossus, Stealth, The Swarm and Nemesis Inferno. Do all these in one day and you are a theme park don.

Hyperia is the one that’s the tallest, fastest and most weightless coaster in the UK. SAW is the one that is properly intense. Colossus is the one with no fewer than 10 loops (eek!). Stealth is the one with the fastest launch. The Swarm is the one that’s post-apocalypse chaos. And the Nemesis Inferno? Well, that’s the inverted rollercoaster!

As you might guess, these rides are not for the faint-hearted. There are lots and lots of other rides and activities to enjoy at Thorpe Park though as well, many of which are suitable for younger ages from around eight. To ride the biggies, you’ll need to be 1.2m or even 1.4m tall.

In essence, a day out riding rollercoasters at Thorpe Park is brilliant entertainment. You’ll get scared, your adrenaline levels will be through the roof at times and you will get wet on the log flumes - and that is the whole point!
