What Can I Expect

A visit to Kensington Palace is a must. Located in the heart of the capital at the western end of Hyde Park, this impressive building has been a Royal residence since the 17th century.

Entry tickets give you access to Kensington Palace state rooms, temporary and permanent exhibitions, as well as the immaculately-maintained gardens. There’s also a free audio guide which is definitely worth having, as it explains lots about the history of the Palace.

And indeed, from Queen Caroline the wife of George II, Queen Victoria’s birth and childhood, to William and Kate taking up official residence, Kensington has many stories to tell about the various members of the British Monarchy who have lived or stayed at the Palace.

The timelessly elegant State rooms are particularly impressive. These stunning period rooms are exquisitely decorated and furnished, ready to receive heads of state and dignitaries. And make sure you take time to admire the staircase!

After your visit, it’s just a 20-minute stroll through Hyde Park past the Diana Memorial Garden and the Round Pond to the Stablehand pub for your meal. This delightful gastro pub serves excellent modern British cuisine.

If you have the two course meal voucher, you can choose either starter and main, or main and dessert. If you have the Sunday voucher, you will be sitting down to a tasty Sunday roast and delicious dessert.
