What Can I Expect

Have a drive at the London Motor Circuit in Hertfordshire! Specifically aimed at juniors from the age of 11 years, as well as those who want to build confidence and anyone looking for a refresher, there’s no driving licence needed for these experiences!

If you’re buying for a youngster, your little darlings will be able to have their first taste of driving at the London Motor Circuit. All experiences are at the wheel of a funky little hatchback and we are offering one, two and three-hour lessons. How cool is that?

Naturally, those booking in for this course won't have a driving licence - but that's the whole point. You don’t need one! These drives are specifically designed to be a fun and educational way of giving teens (or anyone else!) a taste of motoring.

A professional instructor will be hosting the session and they'll be sitting up front ready to intervene on the dual-controls when necessary, so even the most inexperienced driver will be safe.

All sessions start off with getting to grips with the basic moves of driving. That includes steering the car and braking, clutch control and then moving off, to being aware of what the road ahead could hold.

If drivers really get the hang of it, they might start doing some more advanced manoeuvres and reach speeds of around 40mph (and if you remember what it was like the first time you got into fourth gear, you'll know that feels like warp speed!).

These sessions are available on regular Saturdays and some Sundays throughout the year, so get locked in and ready for their junior driver experience at the London Motor Circuit at Bovingdon!

When Is It Available

• Regular Saturday afternoons and very occasional Sunday dates throughout the year
• Experiences are subject to availability and weather conditions

Suitable For

• Age restrictions: Minimum 11
• Height restrictions: Minimum 4ft 8ins, maximum 6ft 2ins
• Weight restrictions: Maximum 18 stone
• Participants should be physically fit with no serious health conditions

Spectators

• Friends and family are welcome to come along

Anything Else

• Flat soled shoes must be worn
• Glasses must be worn if needed
• Refreshments and snacks are available to purchase onsite
• Drivers will need to sign a form accepting risk and vehicle damage liability of up to  £10,000+VAT.  Alternatively damage liability reduction is available to purchase on the day starting from £27
• Please note rebooking within 14 days of your booking will incur a fee
• Any participant entering a vehicle will be requested to complete a Disclaimer signed by a parent/guardian in order to participate in their experience
