What Can I Expect

Visit The State Rooms, Buckingham Palace and enjoy a reserved table at the Royal Horseguards Hotel! These packages for two include tickets to visit the stunning State Rooms at the Palace and an elegant dining option too.

Buckingham Palace, the King's official London residence, is probably one of the most famous buildings in the world - and one of very few to still be a working palace.

The impeccably-kept State Rooms rooms are opened to the public during the summer months only (as they are being used for official Royal Family engagements the rest of the year!), so it's a real coup to even get entry tickets.

Security, as you might expect, is extremely tight at the visitor entrance to the Palace, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, even with your advance tickets. It is, of course, very much worth it, when you see rooms such as the grandiose ballroom!

There’s also the Music Room, where many Presidents, Kings, Queens and heads of Church have been greeted. It's as decadent as it looks on the television. You'll have to pinch yourself that you're standing where the late Queen Elizabeth II would have shaken hands with many dignitaries.

The Throne Room is an opulent affair, with a pair of throne chairs dominating the lavish red velvet-clad room. This is where the Prince and Princess of Wales were photographed after their wedding in 2011.

All in all, you will visit 19 State Rooms at Buckingham Palace. Visitor audio guides will explain the history and uses of each room, as well as pointing out some of the priceless artefacts from the Royal Collection. From Louis XIV chairs to Rembrandt paintings, it's a veritable museum!

After your visit, it's a short stroll along the famous Mall to the Royal Horseguards Hotel. This imposing Victiorian building on the Embankment is also steeped in history - from Churchill, to the birth of the Secret Service. You will enjoy an afternoon tea or a two-course meal inside this opulent and discrete five-star hotel.
