What Can I Expect

Microlights in Surrey! Choose between a 30 or a 60-minute lesson flight in a fixed-wing, closed-cockpit microlight out of Blackbushe Airfield.

This microlight school is well placed on the Surrey and Hampshire border, meaning it's easy to get to from all over London and the South East. Combine this convenient location with a friendly, enthusiastic team of microlighting instructors and you've got a fabulous day out!

Your experience is a first lesson in the Microlight Flying Syllabus, just the same as if you were aiming for your microlight pilot's licence, so it really is the real deal.

You will be getting airborne over Surrey in a fixed wing Ikarus C42. The school has two of these revolutionary microlights, which look more like a 'proper' plane as they are all enclosed. With a 100hp engine, everyone who flies in them loves the fun and responsive performance.

Microlights take off very quickly as they are so light and within a couple of minutes you'll be 1000ft off the ground. Before you know it, you will have reached a suitable altitude where you will be able to take the controls and get to grips with ‘straight and level’ flying, which is the first thing any budding pilot should learn!

The distance you'll fly and the amount of time you'll have to take the controls yourself depends on the length of lesson booked, but at this microlight school in Surrey we're sure you'll come back down to earth with a smile on your face!
