What Can I Expect

Go mini digger driving in Doncaster and find out how this small, but perfectly-formed miniature excavator packs a proper punch! This is your chance to get digging, shifting, lifting and moving in a funky little Bobcat.

The Bobcat E26 mini excavator is a fantastic piece of kit. It's small, manoeuvrable and easy to offload and load on a trailer. They can be used for all sorts of light excavation works and if you need to dig a hole in a hurry, you often see these Bobcats arrive in the nick of time to get the job done quickly and cleanly.

What makes the Bobcat even cooler is the fact that it is a tracked digger, working in the same way as a tank. That's to say, when you're driving along and you want to turn, you go left or right by using the levers to make the tracks operate at different speeds. It's actually quite tricky, but it's really good fun to try.

With the boom and bucket attachment, you'll be moving earth during your mini digger driving experience. Again, it's all about using the joystick controls in the cab to manipulate the arm and bucket to collect, move and release your charge - all of which requires a certain amount of coordination by you, the digger operator.

And don't forget, this mini Bobcat can pirouette (turn on its own axis), so you can pick up the soil at the front, swing round without moving and drop the load behind you. Watch out for the boom arm when you do it, you don't want to go hitting the cab you're sitting in. And be careful how far you reach, so as not to tip over. Such are the trials and tribulations in the working day of the life of a mini excavator operator!

We are offering 30 and extended 60-minute mini digger driver experiences at this Doncaster outdoor centre. Big kids and little kids (from the age of 12) will love the chance to operate a Bobcat E26 tracked excavator. Time to get digging!

Suitable For

• Minimum age 12
• Under 18s must be accompanied on site by an adult
• Height restrictions: minimum 5ft, maximum 6ft 4ins
• Weight restrictions: maximum 23 stone
• Participants must be agile enough to climb vertical steps to gain access to the digger

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome although due to the nature of the activity viewing may be limited

Anything Else

• Food and drink are available to purchase
• Onsite toilets and clubhouse
• Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear should be worn
