The Rotunda in Glasgow's vibrant dockside is home to Scotland's biggest comedy club. The former north tunnel building has been transformed into a multi-restaurant and comedy club venue that sits proud on the banks of the Clyde. It's a great place for a night out on the town - especially when it's going to be a funny one in the company of the stand-ups on the bill.

Up in Aberdeen, the comedy nights are hosted by The Blue Lamp Club. Situated in Gallowgate in the city centre, you'll love this hidden gem of a venue. It's home to a renowned jazz club and the comedy club is just as welcoming and friendly. It's a small and intimate venue that's just for a comedy night.

Both the Aberdeen and Glasgow venues work in the same way. A very competent compere will host the evening, opening the show with a few gags, before introducing each act before they take to the stage. They also give the thanks and close the show at the end. It's a skilled job to keep the audience interested and these comperes do it with aplomb.

After the jokes, anecdotes and wisecracks have come to an end, you can stay on and enjoy your evening into the wee hours. Both The Blue Lamp and the Rotunda stay open until late for the post-comedy club sessions.
