What Can I Expect

Welcome aboard your York river cruise! Gently cruising along the lovely River Ouse brings a whole different perspective to sightseeing in York - a city steeped in history. Spend time out on the river and enjoy all the city of York sights in the most relaxing way possible.

We are offering 45 to 60-minute York city cruises for you to enjoy either during the day or for the early evening departure. This city-centre cruising experience takes in all the landmark buildings that line the River Ouse.

From the imposing York Minster and Clifford's Tower, to the Guildhall, the Museum Gardens and those stunning Victorian Bridges, you'll see everything York has to offer from the viewpoint of the gently flowing water.

York river cruises set off from both King's Staith Landing and Lendal Bridge and it's up to you which departure point you choose, with our vouchers valid for both.

King's Staith is adjacent to the Magistrate's Court and near the Jorvik Centre, whilst Lendal Bridge is further north, on the edge of the York Museum gardens. It's worth noting that Lendal is more practical if you are arriving directly from York station, which is just on the other side of the river.

These River Ouse cruises are all round trips, so whichever departure point you got on the boat at, you will disembark from the same one.

The fleet of York city cruise vessels offers interior saloons and open-air decks. There are toilets onboard and a well-stocked bar offering drinks and bar snacks too. Being all-weather boats with fine River Ouse views from both levels, you're set for a fabulous York river cruise at any time of year.

On every York river cruise you will be treated to a live sightseeing commentary by the crew. This means you won't miss any of those landmark buildings you want to see. You'll be regaled with fascinating facts and historical anecdotes as you cruise along the River Ouse. The perfect way to experience York's city centre!
