What can I expect on the day

A DUKW amphibious vehicle (often spelt as simply "duck") tour of London is exciting and unusual way to see the capital. The tour in these mad-looking vehicles equally at home in water and on the public roads, starts from the South Bank area of London, close to the former County Hall and London Eye. Lasting around 70 minutes, this London duck tour takes in the most famous sights of London.

From the South Bank, you head by road past the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Downing St, through to Trafalgar Square and past St James' Palace. Then you'll see The Ritz, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace (what would our dear Queen think if she saw a bright yellow DUCK on looking out of her window!), Westminster Abbey and the Tate Britain.

Then it's into the water at the Vauxhall slipway and splashdown! Cruising up the Thames as far as the London Eye, you will get some great views of London's sights from the water before heading back to the Vauxhall slipway, before returning to your start point at County Hall by road.

This is a truly unique experience and certainly a fun way to see London from the road and the water with an informative and entertaining tour guide onboard too - just be prepared for some admiring looks from other road and river users! This unusual gift idea is just one experience day activity from IntotheBlue.

We wanted to say a massive thank you for your amazing tour of London on Saturday.

Our friends had travelled down from Cheshire and hadn't visited London for over 10 years. The Duck Tour was the perfect way to see some of London's most iconic sights from the road and river.

Our driver skillfully threaded his way through the busy streets and our guide was hilarious and made the trip enjoyable for kids and adults.

Thankyou all, we had a blast!

Amazing tour with witty guide. Best left for warmer days if possible so that the window flaps can be rolled up out of the way for a clearer view!

Prior to arriving at the meeting point, we had given our friend a clue - a plastic bath duck - but she was none the wiser until we actually turned and she saw this wonderful yellow contraption. We all had a great time and are trying to think of something else to do for another friend who will be turning 50 next!
