Who it's not for
If you’re really not that bothered about good food or fine tipples, these gourmet gift sets might not be for you. But in all honesty (and given the popularity of these food gift sets), we think it’s pretty hard to find someone who wouldn’t appreciate a gift like this.
In most cases, yes, a signature will be needed for delivery. It doesn’t have to be signed for by you personally, someone else can do it. You can also get the gifts to be delivered to a work address, which is, in our experience, what most people do.
Does the packaging mean I can easily carry the parcel?
Yes. For example, in the case of the wine club, bottles come in ready-to-carry packaging with handles, so you can transport your vino home and not spill a drop...thank goodness!
Do I have to specify product choices when I order the voucher?
No. The lucky recipient of the gift subscription is the one who makes any product choices where applicable. For example, you can choose red, white or a mixture of wines with the wine gift subscription and you can pick if you’d prefer liqueur, milk or dark chocolate gift sets.
Can I do a personal message for the subscription or gift box?
Yes of course. You can always do a personal message with any IntotheBlue voucher. And with many of the gift box suppliers, you can also send out a personalised message with the first delivery too.
Will the packages fit through the letter box?
It depends on which subscription you go for! Most of the drink gifts will not go through the letterbox and will need to be signed for. Other gift sets, such as the spice boxes and brownies, have been carefully designed to fit through a standard letter box. What happens if my delivery goes missing or is damaged?
All of the gifts sets are very carefully prepared and safely packaged, but accidents do sometimes happen. If your items are damaged on delivery, make sure it is noted on the courier’s form. Then contact the gift box supplier directly as quickly as possible. Similarly in the case of missing goods, please contact the supplier directly.
What do the gift sets look like?
Have a look on each individual product page for photos of what to expect in each hamper or gift box. As they are intended as gifts they are all really well packaged with really nice designs to ensure your gift is sure to impress and be appreciated!
Are these suitable gifts for children?
Things like the cocktails, gin and wine tasting gift boxes are only suitable for adults due to the alcohol content. The other gift sets can be bought for children, but we do have more suitable subscription gifts specifically for kids, such as our children’s book subscription.
Can I order these food gifts for delivery abroad?
No. Gifts can only be delivered to standard UK addresses.
What happens if I go on holiday during the subscription period?
Most suppliers have a personal login area on their website where, as a subscriber, you can log-on and put a temporary pause on your deliveries if you’re going to be away.
What happens if I move house during the subscription period?
No problem at all. Simply inform the supplier that you are moving, with your new address and moving date. In some cases you can do this quickly and easily online directly with the supplier.
Can I choose when I want the subscription to start from?
In many cases yes. The first gift is often sent out after you register your voucher, or you can pick the date for it to start. Some subscriptions use the same date every month to dispatch the gifts and you can choose that too.
