All the glitz and glamour of the Brit Awards

We just LOVE the Brit awards. All the glitz and glamour mixed with the bad jokes and the bad behaviour, it really is a great show. And this year’s gathering of stars was no exception.

Who could not cringe at Jonathan Ross’s lame performance? Who didn’t laugh when comic host Peter Kay described Lady Gaga as New York’s Su Pollard? And who’d have thought they’d wheel out Mel B and Geri from the Spice Girls to collect an award?

As well as all the the tears from the winners and the ‘trying not to look gutted’ faces of the losers, there are always spectacular performances on stage. This year we were mostly liking Florence and the Machine hooking up with Dizzee Rascal and Jay Z and Alicia Keys. Thumbs down for Cheryl Cole who busted some dance moves but was SO miming!

Triple award winning Lady Gaga really is err...gaga

But the real showstopper had to be Lady Gaga and her craziness. Crazy outfits and crazy and make up. In fact, that lacy bodysuit with the ridiculously tall wig was just so over the top! She said of the wig “It was made last night in heaven with the magic of angels.” Righto. Of course love. If we had our way we’d send her on a ‘How to apply make up’ experience, closely followed by a colour analysis workshop so try and bring her back down to earth a bit!

Still the Brits 2010 was a superb night of ridiculously indulgent musical entertainment, so we can’t complain too much!
